How do I change the language setting?

WinPIM will select the language automatically. If you want to choose the language yourself, just change the language value in the Language.INI file in Language folder.

 

How do I share my information with LAN users?

You can use WinPIM Data Server to share data in LAN or via Internet.

 

How do I synchronize or merge WinPIM data folders in local computer or over networks?

Use WinPIM Data Folder Synchronizer.

 

How do I synchronize data with my Palm PDA?

Use WinPIM Sync for Palm or WinPIM Sync for Pocket PC.

 

When I add a task, it doesn't appears in the task list, why?

The default list task range is Daily, that means the Tasks only list the tasks of the day you select in the calendar. So the task will not appear until the start date of the task you added is later than the date you selected in the calendar. You can also set the task list range to Weekly, Monthly, Yearly or All to show the tasks.

 

Why WinPIM wants to connect to the internet?

WinPIM might try to connect to the internet for 3 reasons:

 

1) If you set Mail Check in Alerts, the program will access the internet to check for new emails to remind you.

2) The reminder will check for new versions of WinPIM automatically, if you want to disable this, you can open the Reminder Options, and un-check the 'Check for new versions' option.

3) If you set phone # in WinPIM Options in order to send you a SMS when you have a reminder. The program will also try to go to internet to send you a message when a reminder comes.

What can I do to fix unexpected errors?

Important: Please BACKUP your data folder before fix or restore.

If some unexpected error occurs, you can try the following step to fix or restore your data:

1) Fix It!

With WinPIM, click Help menu, select 'Detect and Repair'. If you can not even log in WinPIM, you can find 'fixv9.exe' at WinPIM program folder, run it to do the fix.

 

2) Restore Automatically Backup

If step 1 does not help. You can try to restore the Automatically Backup.

 

3) Let us help you
