Translate WinPIM

To Translate:

1) Download some tools: WinPIM Resource Comparer | Resource Editor (more info)

2) Run WinPIM Resource Comparer, get your Language ID, create a sub folder under '{winpim}\language\', the sub folder's name is the Language ID.

3) Copy all the files and subfolders in '{winpim}\language\eng\' to your new sub folder.

4) Run Resource Editor, open the Language.DLL in your new folder, translate all the strings to your language.

5) (Not necessary) Translate other '.txt' and '.ini' files in your language folder.

To Test:

Run WinPIM, WinPIM can recognize your new language automatically.

You can remove 'layout.dat' file in your data to let winpim rebuild the toolbar to test your new language.

To Upgrade:

Run WinPIM Resource Comparer, you can compare old and new version's language DLL. This tool can find what's modified and what's new quickly to help you upgrade the language DLL.

To Release:

After you finish your translation and want to share with others, please compress and send us your language folder, we'll release it on our web site.
